Cessna 175 For Sale

For Sale Cessna 175B G-ARML

G-ARML, a 1961 Cessna 175B Skylark was imported from the USA in 1962 with 39 hrs and 5 minutes in the logs.

It seems to have spent all of its life in the East Anglia/Midlands area, where it was maintained by The College of Aeronautics at Cranfield initially, then McAlpine Aviation at Luton, Rogers Aviation at Bedford and other well known names in British general aviation in the 60’s and 70’s.

The airplane had a taxi-ing accident in 1992. The aircraft was repaired and then stored until 1995, at which point it resumed flying.

The engine was overhauled by Jade Air/Norvic Engines in 2003 and repainted in 2004 by Colton Aviation.

I traded in my first aircraft, a 1949 Cessna C140, for it in April 2005. Then the C175B's airframe had 1468 hrs total time, and the engine about 11 hrs since the 2003 overhaul.

The Cessna lived at Popham until 2007 but is now at Booker where it is hangared under cover full time.

I flew approximately 191 hours in it until September 2008. I then had an opportunity to start flying a Diamond DA40. I cannot afford to keep the 175, and fly the Diamond, hence the sale.
